TEACHING AND PRACTISING GRAMMAR:
Present Continuous: 'What am I doing? ... I'm opening the door...'
Present Perfect: 'How many countries have you been to / shoes have you got / cars have you driven ...?'
Past simple: 'Yesterday, Mary (invented, non-existent person) got up at 7. She had breakfast ...'
2nd conditional: 'If you won £1,000,000, what would you do?...'
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS (boring, distant and/or promoting a capitalist / consumerist world view)!!!!
