Every year 15 million girls in the world are married under the age of 18. In Zambia, probably two in five girls are married as children. This stops their education and is a danger to their health because of early pregnancy.
In this short film from Girls Not Brides, you will see Mirriam. She is 17 and she wants to become a doctor. You will also see some of the activists and leaders – they are working to make sure she and other girls like her get the chance to live a full life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMKmOQ8B4BY
